Product Details

This integrated bevel gear shaft is a precision-engineered transmission component designed to reliably transfer power between intersecting shafts, most commonly at a 90° angle, in heavy-duty mechanical systems.

Construction & Materials

Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel, the entire component undergoes a specialized heat-treatment process of carburizing, quenching, and tempering. This creates a hardened tooth surface (HRC 58–62) for exceptional wear resistance, paired with a tough, ductile core that can withstand high impact loads and torsional stress. The entire surface is protected by a zinc phosphate coating with a chromate finish, which provides superior corrosion resistance, reduces friction during meshing, and helps retain lubricant to extend service life in harsh operating environments, including dusty, damp, or high-temperature conditions.

Design Features

Integrated Bevel Gear & Shaft: The one-piece design eliminates the need for separate gear-to-shaft mounting, ensuring maximum concentricity and torsional rigidity. This reduces backlash, minimizes vibration, and improves overall transmission efficiency compared to assembled gear-shaft systems.

Precision Machined Teeth: The conical bevel teeth are cut using CNC gear shaping to achieve an accurate involute profile, enabling smooth, low-noise meshing with a mating bevel gear. This design ensures consistent torque transfer and precise rotational alignment, even under dynamic loads.

Stepped Shaft Geometry: The multi-diameter shaft is engineered to accommodate bearings, seals, and other drivetrain components, providing precise axial and radial positioning. The smooth, polished shaft surfaces reduce friction in bearing interfaces, contributing to longer component life.

Performance & Applications

This bevel gear shaft excels in applications requiring power transmission between intersecting shafts and robust torque handling, such as:

Automotive differentials, steering systems, and transfer cases

Industrial gearboxes for conveyors, mixers, and material handling equipment

Agricultural machinery including tractor transmissions and harvester drives

Construction equipment like excavator and loader drivetrains

Its combination of rugged construction, precision engineering, and corrosion resistance makes it a dependable choice for critical systems where downtime is costly and performance is essential.
